In addition to our barefoot massage work, we incorporate a variety of massage techniques and tools, including massage cupping, gua sha, targeted myofascial release, and Thai stretching to create lasting changes in your body.  You will feel the difference!

What makes barefoot massage so great?

The benefit of massage with the foot is the broad, continuous pressure that makes compression strokes smooth and supple instead bony or prodding. (Think elbow scraping through your hamstrings vs. a heel.)  Most strokes are done with one foot on the table and one on the client, so pressure is easily adjusted to your preference. 

What is Ashiatsu and why should I try it?  Ashiatsu is deep tissue done right! It is a barefoot deep tissue massage that uses compression and effleurage strokes that glide over the body.  These strokes create a structural change in muscle tissues, releasing chronic tension and holding patterns. Bars are used above the head for support and balance and warm oil is applied to the body to increase glide.
